Privacy Policy
This policy covers the Digital Clarity Company website, digital-product services, and Focus Mode Media, our privately operated, self-hosted social-content management application for our own business accounts. For privacy questions or requests, contact info@digitalclaritycompany.com.
Digital Clarity Company collects the information needed to operate this product website, process purchases, deliver the report, and send emails you have requested.
Information we collect
When you join the email list, we store your email address and the date and source of your consent. When you purchase, Stripe processes your payment details. We retain limited order information such as the checkout-session identifier, email, payment status, and download count so we can deliver the file and prevent abuse.
Pinterest integration: purpose and authorization
Focus Mode Media is intended for the account owner to manage our own Pinterest business content. The Pinterest integration is pending approval and is not yet connected. The following describes its intended operation once approved and authorized; it does not imply that Pinterest has approved the app.
Connecting an account uses Pinterest’s authorization process. We do not ask for or collect a Pinterest password. The requested access covers basic account information, reading boards and Pins, and creating Pins for content the account owner selects. Content is prepared for review before the owner chooses to schedule or publish it, subject to the access Pinterest grants.
Information used by Focus Mode Media
The integration will use authorization credentials to communicate with Pinterest on the account owner’s behalf. The self-hosted application retains account identifiers, profile information and a copy of the profile image, authorization credentials, and publishing identifiers and links. Account and board identifiers, profile information, and Pin details are processed to identify the connected account, select a destination board, and display or check a publishing result. The owner supplies draft text, images, destination links, and scheduling choices to Focus Mode Media.
Owner-supplied drafts and media are distinct from information retrieved through Pinterest’s API. Pinterest data is used to provide the authorized Pinterest connection and content-management functions. It is not used to train AI models, build profiles of unrelated users, or target advertising on other services.
Focus Mode Media sharing and access
When the owner authorizes a publishing action, the selected content is sent to Pinterest. Published content is subject to Pinterest’s visibility settings and access restrictions. Our self-hosted Focus Mode Media service and the infrastructure providers supporting it process the information needed to operate this workflow. Focus Mode Media is for internal use, not a service offered to external customers. Pinterest API information is not sold or shared with advertising services. The website’s marketing and measurement practices described below are separate from the Pinterest API integration.
Connection controls, retention, and deletion
The account owner can revoke the application’s authorization through Pinterest. Revocation stops future authorized API access; it does not itself delete Pins already on Pinterest or content previously supplied to Focus Mode Media. Pins can be managed on Pinterest. Requests to remove locally held connection information, drafts, or media can be sent to info@digitalclaritycompany.com.
We will verify the requester’s authority before processing a deletion request. Information needed for legal obligations or investigating security incidents may need to be retained. We do not promise automatic deletion merely because an account is disconnected.
Pinterest also processes information under its own Privacy Policy.
Payments
Payment-card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored by this website. Stripe’s own privacy terms apply to its checkout service.
Analytics and advertising measurement
We use analytics and advertising-measurement services to understand visits, checkout activity, and completed purchases. These services may receive limited device, referral, network, and order information—such as an IP address, page URL, checkout identifier, purchase amount, postal code, or email address—to connect a completed order with the marketing that led to it. We do not send payment-card details to these services.
Marketing email requires your consent. You may choose the promotional-email option during Stripe checkout or join the website email list separately; the option is separate from purchasing. We use a self-hosted email platform to maintain the mailing list, deliver approved messages, and record unsubscribes, hard bounces, and complaints. You may unsubscribe from future marketing messages at any time. Transactional purchase and delivery messages may still be sent when necessary to complete an order.
Customer records
We use a self-hosted customer relationship system to organize subscriber and customer follow-up. A completed purchase may create a customer record, but purchasing does not subscribe you to marketing. The website’s consent record remains the authority for whether marketing is permitted.
Website measurement
We use Google Analytics, Plausible Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and advertising measurement tags to understand visits, page interactions, checkout progress, and completed purchases. Session replay is intended to mask sensitive form information and does not record payment-card details entered on Stripe’s checkout.
Storage and security
Subscriber and order records are stored in the website’s managed database. The paid PDF is kept in private object storage and is released only after payment verification. No internet service can promise perfect security, but access is limited to the functions needed to operate the site.
Your choices
You may ask to update or remove your subscriber and customer-profile information by emailing info@digitalclaritycompany.com. A verified deletion request is propagated to the website’s mailing and customer systems. Some limited order records may need to be retained for financial, fraud-prevention, or legal purposes.
